{i.e.}: where i’ve been …

today i figured, since it has been an entire month now since my last post, i would write one.

inspiration has been endless. motivation and organization has not. well, motivation to blog, that is. i am rather motivated. more so than ever before. just slightly overwhelmed with the ‘to do’ list. why didn’t someone warn me before i started my own business? i never really knew how much work was required (emotional, mental + physical) with starting a business. don’t get me wrong. i enjoy being my own boss. and i’m learning a whole new aspect of who i am within running disregarden. it’s just not always pretty. or easy (even if it appears that way. really. i promise).

and it’s probably no surprise to you that i am horrible at actually blogging. it’s not that i don’t enjoy it or that i forget to blog. i fully remember. i just don’t make time for it. and i desperately want to include you in this process i am in the midst of. “process?” you ask? yes. process. this process of disregarden. this process of building a furniture, rentals + styling business. and who i am becoming in the midst of it. oh. my. goodness. is it ever a process. but really, who’s life isn’t a process? life is a process + journey of learning, dreaming, being disappointed, loving, being inspired, crying, laughing, growing, hurting, and breathing (to name a few). and, in the midst of this process i am on, i find it helpful to be inspired by my surroundings. sometimes that includes eating at my favorite local restaurants, or finding new ones. other times, it is heading downtown to the flower mart to buy fresh flowers for myself. and, sometimes, it’s sitting in front of the computer perusing the lovely internet that i am oh-so-grateful-for-because-i-find-beautiful-things-through-it. i have found, since starting disregarden, that i cannot find enough inspiration. even if you don’t run your own business, i encourage you to find things that inspire you. things, places, foods, smells, relationships, sights. anything that encourages you to become more of yourself. and reminds you to enjoy being yourself (can you tell i have had an inspiring past few weeks? i’m getting sort of cheesy + motivational). i’m mainly writing this to remind myself but i thought i’d invite you into this necessary reminder…

and, to invite you into my world of inspiration, i thought i’d share some of the beautiful things i’ve come across lately.
